Low-noise fireworks
Colour and light without the big bangs: for an event close to horses or other animals, a wedding near the neighbours, a city centre or a venue with noise rules. Pyred designs a low-noise show on request.
All the colour. Far less noise.
What makes fireworks quieter
Most of the noise of classic fireworks comes from the shells that burst high in the sky. Single shots — one star, one comet or one mine at a time — are by definition a lot quieter. For a low-noise show we leave out the loud effects and build the show from those quieter ones, with fountains and effects that burn rather than bang.
Need it completely silent? Sparkular cold sparks, coloured smoke, flames and lasers make no bang at all.
When to choose low-noise
- Animals: equestrian events, farms, zoos and nature areas nearby; at the Brussels Stephex Masters we keep fireworks at a distance from the horses
- Neighbours: weddings and private parties in residential areas, late in the evening
- City centres and venues with noise rules: where the municipality or the venue limits the noise
- Young children and sensitive guests who would rather see the colour than hear the bang
Good to know
- Low-noise fireworks are still fireworks: the same safety distances, licensed pyrotechnicians and permission of the municipality apply; see fireworks permits
- Quieter does not mean smaller: with the right choice of effects and timing, a low-noise show can still be set to music; see fireworks to music
Frequently asked questions

Can we ask for a low-noise show?
Yes. Tell us when you request a quote; we design the show with that in mind from the start.
