Sustainable special effects
Spectacle and responsibility go together. Pyred chooses effects with a smaller footprint, such as biodegradable confetti and CO₂-free jets, and works from a base in Belgium built on renewable energy.
The same wow. A smaller footprint.
Effects with a smaller footprint
- Biodegradable confetti and streamers: paper and metallic confetti and streamers for which the manufacturer has issued a statement that they are biodegradable
- Jets without CO₂ gas: instead of CO₂ bottles, machines such as the Eco2Jet make the same big white clouds, up to 12 metres high, with a fan and a fluid. One 5-litre can gives about 13 minutes of effect, as much as 13 large CO₂ bottles, so there are far fewer gas bottles to produce and transport
- Biodegradable snow fluid for snow effects
- Spark fountains instead of fireworks where that fits the moment: cold sparks from a machine, without fireworks
We are happy to advise on the lower-impact alternative for every effect in your show, and share the manufacturer’s statements for your sustainability report.
Our base in Belgium
Pyred Europe works from Affligem, near Brussels, and that is where our own footprint starts:
- A CO₂-neutral business park as our home base
- Investments in renewable energy for our warehouse and offices
- Thorough waste processing: what comes back from a show is sorted and processed
- An electrifying fleet: we are switching our vehicles to electric
