Lasers and spark fountains above a festival crowd

What do special effects cost?

A single confetti moment at a company party and a fireworks finale in a stadium are worlds apart. Here is what determines the price of a pyro show or special effects, and what we need from you to make a precise quote.

Every show is made to measure. So is every price.

What determines the price

  • The effects: which effects, how many and how big. A few spark fountains cost less than a row of flame machines or a full fireworks show
  • What is used up: fireworks, confetti, CO₂ and fluids are consumed during the show; the more moments, the more material
  • Duration and number of shows: one moment, one evening, or several shows over several days
  • The venue: indoors or outdoors, the distance to the audience, and how easy it is to build up
  • Crew and time: how many operators, and how long for build-up, rehearsal, show and take-down
  • Design and programming: a show set to music or timecode takes more preparation than a single cue
  • Safety and paperwork: the safety file, and any extra requirements from the venue or the authorities
  • Transport and travel: the distance to the venue, and for fireworks the transport under hazardous goods rules

What we need for a quote

Send us what you already know; the rest we work out together:

  • The type of event and the date
  • The venue, and whether it is indoors or outdoors
  • The number of guests or spectators
  • The moments you want to mark, and the effect you have in mind, if any
  • If you have one: an indication of your budget, so we can propose what fits

With a budget in mind, we show you what is possible within it, and where the biggest effect for your money lies.

Frequently asked questions

What does a pyro show cost?

That depends mostly on the number and size of the effects, the duration, the venue and the crew needed. Tell us about your event and we make you a quote to measure.

Why don’t you publish fixed prices?

Because no two events are the same: the same effect costs something different in a hotel ballroom than in a stadium. A quote to measure is fairer than a price list.

Can we start small?

Yes. One well-timed effect, such as a confetti moment or spark fountains at the entrance, already makes a difference.

Is the safety file included?

Yes. The safety file is part of our proposal.
