Al Ain Museum Reopening Ceremony
For the reopening of the Al Ain Museum in Abu Dhabi, Pyred created the effects that told the story: molten metal, flint sparks and clouds of desert dust.
In October 2025 the Al Ain Museum in Abu Dhabi reopened with “A Journey Through Layers”, a 25-minute ceremony created by DAE Global. Pyred built and ran the special effects, with our crew on site from 5 October for the build and almost three weeks of rehearsals.
Every effect served the story. Flame trays built into the stage floor recreated molten metal for the metallurgy scene, the spears of the performers struck flint sparks, and battery-powered fans on a boat filled its sail with wind. Fans also blew clouds of dust across the stage and from the top of the old fort tower.
After two dress rehearsals, the ceremony was performed on 22 and 23 October for VVIP and VIP guests.
